On Your Bike

Another chilly day - although the sun did peep out for a while, I had an early chiro appointment and then did some shopping before heading off to Shirley's. We had a great afternoon, I made three lovely cards and Shirley caught up with some cuttlebugging. Doug is getting cabin fever due to the cold weather as he can't get out on the gopher - hopefully the weather will turn as it's the first day of Spring tomorrow! We were supposed to go up the river tonight but have decided to go in the morning as it will be very cold up there - which gave me the chance to make this card for John's dad for Father's Day.

I am entering it in this week's Annabelle Blog Challenge: absc053 - Sketch

Father's Day

Still cold here today, although the rain has stopped. I'm having a lazy day so I thought I'd make a card while watching some TV! I probably should be ironing or doing housework! This card is for my Father as Father's Day is in a couple of weeks.

This is my entry in this week's Annabelle Stamps Blog Challenge:

Footy Birthday

Miserable day here in Adelaide, lots of rain and cold as well. I had my hair dome early this morning and then I was off to the chiropractor for a bit of torture, my arthritis does not like this weather at all! This afternoon I visited Shirley for a craft workshop, we made three great cards which I will share another time, the time went very quickly and she had bought some lovely Jelly Cakes as a special treat to go with the cappuccino - she is becoming quite the barista!! I needed to make a card for a male friend who is into Aussie Rules but I could't find an image to use so I've gone with a rugby image and used his teams colours. I'm off to make some minestrone soup as it's Emma's favourite and she will be hungry after a five hour drive home tomorrow.

Time for Cake

Busy morning as I had to sort out our Super before June 30, I had trouble with Internet banking so I had to go into the branch - a pain in the neck! Then it was home to tidy up a bit before craft. We had a very chatty group and Sandy was most impressed with herself as she completed a card today - normally she just colours images in readiness! Sandy has found some lovely cookies which she has been bringing the last few weeks - a real treat! Joyce and Sandy had found a mag with great male stamps as the give away so I went down to Arndale and managed to get them after everyone had left, I'm looking forward to looking at it later.

I made a card for this weeks {lollipop Ladies} Challenge.

On The Fly

Wintery, showery day here today, I had a dental appointment and then went off to spend the afternoon crafting at Shirley's, we made three nice cards and did some cuttle bugging! I also had to take back the coat I had bought for Trevor the dog and swap it for a smaller size - hopefully it fits. I was up all hours last night making cards - the things that you can do when hubby is away!!!

This card is for this weeks

Inside:

I needed to make a card for a friend's birthday - he is a fly fisherman so I hope he likes this.

This is a three fold  textured card with the oval cut out.

I stamped the image on the inside flap, sponged around the edges of the oval and put 3d dots around the edge of the oval so that it sits back a little - not that you can really see that in the scan before I stuck it down. I stamped the trout on a separate piece of card, cut and 3d the image over the bottom of the oval, the trout fly images were stamped straight onto the card and I added a rhinestone to each.

Chocolate Trees

Welcome and thanks for dropping by -  a busy time since last week. we had a great night out for the Adelaide Fringe and then went up the river with friends for the long weekend. John is in Perth for work for a couple of days so I am trying to get some cards made for a couple of challenges. We had our usual craft get together today - Sandy had a few photos of her son's wedding to share - looks like a beautiful couple and perfect weather for the wedding. We also said farewell to Joyce who is off on a road trip with her hubby for a month - maybe there will be lots of craft stores to look at  on the way!!

Make a Wish

Busy day, started with  doing the washing and then off for a massage before craft. Then my son Matthew turned up to borrow his dad's car - so I snaffled him to help clean the top of the kitchen cupboards - a big help when he is 6' 5"! He wasn't too thrilled but the job got done! It was a smaller group at craft today - but just as much stuff on the table! We chatted and were quite industrious, I finished off a card for a friends birthday and then made a card for this month's:

Anchors Away

What a stinker of a day - 41 degrees - Emma has just left for a wedding which is outside - hopefully there will be plenty of shade - as there are only seats for the oldies! I've had a lovely afternoon at Shirley's and I will share the cards we made in a later post - nice and cool at her place - no gopher trip for Doug this afternoon as it was too hot. We chatted and made cards and finished with a cup of tea - it's amazing how refreshing a cup of tea is even in the heat.

I came home and decided to make a card for this weeks Annabelle Stamps Blog Sketch Challenge.

You Touch My Life

At last some cooler weather - makes it much easier to sleep at night and not so costly on the electric bill with not having to run the air conditioner. Home alone tonight so I've managed to get my card made and scanned for an early post. I spent last night visiting blogs, so after this post I'll visit  some more for Less is More.

This card is my entry into this weeks LIM Challenge - Week 53  Colour - Aqua

Two Little Ducks

I'm up the boat and thought I'd try some card making, it hasn't gone to well, very windy and I forgot some of my stuff! I can't get the links to work on the ipad or upload the photo so i'm going to try and email it to Emma and see if she can do it for me. Tonights post is my entry into this weeks
Come and Get It Challenge - Faux Tile
And Annabelle Stamps Challenge - Yellow, Lime and Turquoise.

Card from stock
Marvy Markers for colouring
Image from Crafty Individuals
Stamped image coloured, then cut into tiles, the edges of each tile were distressed, then the tiles were 3d onto yellow card.
The colours have not photographed well with the iPad so I might re scan when I get home, the lime green is in the argyle background dsp and the yellow is actually quite bright.

Big Boys Toy

Warm again today, did the housework early - then off to Shirley's for some crafting. We decided to make a couple of cards for challenges - so we worked together but made quite different cards - it was a bit of fun and different from our usual workshop where Shirley provides the kits. We are off to friends in the hills for dinner tonight so I'm posting this early!

This card is for this weeks entry into Cards For Men  - Boys and Their Toys - this is a toy my big boy (hubby) would love to own!

Challenge Catch Up

Well, we're back from our cruise and short stay in Singapore - it was a lovely relaxing time - a shame to spoil it all by coming back to be faced with all the washing and ironing but that's the penance I guess! It wasn't all without craft as they ran a scrap-booking and jewellry class on board so I managed to go to both of those. I had my usual Thursday craft group today so it was good to catch up with all the girls, although my mojo deserted me and I had all sorts of trouble with stamping and when I finally got an image I liked I was stamping the sentiment and the stamp fell off the block and ruined the card - grrr! I persisted and came up with 2 cards, one for this weeks Less is More Challenge and one for Cards for Men.

Card One:  Less is More Challenge 42 - THEME - Silhouette

Biker Birthday

Thanks for stopping by, busy morning as I had to get the housework, shopping and ironing done before craft as I am going away on a girls weekend to Victor Harbor while the boys go golfing in Renmark - good split me thinks! There were six of us today so lots of chatter and some lovely Danish Pastries that Sandy bought for afternoon tea - spoilt rotten! Thanks to Sandy for suggesting these challenges - I was feeling a bit lost on what to do today so she suggested I checked them out, I've had the stamp for a little while now and hadn't used it yet - so it was an ideal opportunity to try it out.

Today's post is for two challenges - Red Back & White for the Come and Get it Color Challenge.

And for Cards for Men Challenge - Anything Goes

Challenge 17 - Anything Goes

Little Boy Blue

Thanks for dropping by, today's post is a card I made after a demonstration night at Amelia's Crafts, the card was designed by Rhonda using a Le Suh 3D Image Sheet. All the papers, stickers and card are from Amelia's. I was so happy with the final card, I thought I'd share it with you, also on the sheet is a little girl in the garden which is also absolutely gorgeous. All my family are coming for dinner tonight as we are saying farewell to my parents who are off to England for 6 weeks (John's parents arrived back this week!) and celebrating a few birthdays as well! We also have a couple of Emma's friends staying with us from Victoria for a couple of days - so our house is rather busy!
