On Your Bike

Another chilly day - although the sun did peep out for a while, I had an early chiro appointment and then did some shopping before heading off to Shirley's. We had a great afternoon, I made three lovely cards and Shirley caught up with some cuttlebugging. Doug is getting cabin fever due to the cold weather as he can't get out on the gopher - hopefully the weather will turn as it's the first day of Spring tomorrow! We were supposed to go up the river tonight but have decided to go in the morning as it will be very cold up there - which gave me the chance to make this card for John's dad for Father's Day.

I am entering it in this week's Annabelle Blog Challenge: absc053 - Sketch

Golden Christmas

Welcome and thanks for dropping by, I have been away in Melbourne with hubby and a group of friends - so no crafting or blogging for a while! We managed to escape the rain and hail in Melbourne last Thursday as we were in the pictures - but it was still very cold. I got myself a new wool coat, a couple of pairs of shoes and some new tops - so I was quite pleased. We had a lovely high tea at The Windsor Hotel and a couple of nice dinners out too.

Today was back to normal, although just three of us at craft today, but we chatted, embroidered, coloured and crafted. I made a card for this weeks:

Recipe:
white card from stash - matted on  black card for scan
Stamp from Kaisercraft in gold ink
Sentiment from Tapestry in gold ink
Gold stickers and corners from stash
1" Circle punch

There are dots on the tree and circles in the gold corners, and the sentiment is in a 1" circle sponged with gold.

I couldn't upload a picture through Google Chrome, but was able to do so using Internet Explorer.

Father's Day

Still cold here today, although the rain has stopped. I'm having a lazy day so I thought I'd make a card while watching some TV! I probably should be ironing or doing housework! This card is for my Father as Father's Day is in a couple of weeks.

This is my entry in this week's Annabelle Stamps Blog Challenge:

Partridge in a Pear Tree

A very wintery day here in Adelaide,we had hail about an hour ago and the back yard was white! Now we just have the pelting rain and wind - even though the heater is on I still feel cold.

Just three of us at craft today, but we all got a little bit done, looked at some craft mags and had scones for afternoon tea. I made  a card for this weeks less is more challenge.

As ever, please don't forget that white space and keep any embellishments to a minimum.
Here are our examples, but please don't forget to visit our personal blogs, as very often you can see extra examples for each challenge there

Best Wishes

Welcome, I've had a very busy week so no crafting until today! We had my mother's 80th birthday on the weekend and we had the family here for dinner on Saturday night including her brother and his wife who had flown down from Sydney for a few days and Emma came up from Mount Gambier for the celebrations. John left for Townsville the next day  and my son Matthew and his girlfriend left for New York for a holiday on Monday! I've been spending time with my parents and Uncle & Aunt - they are off home today and John flies in at 10.30 tonight so it's all go here!
Four of us at craft today, we spent some time going through some craft magazines and chatting before getting some craft done - all too soon it was home time and we hadn't even had a cup of tea so the kettle went on quickly and we had some nice cookies and a bit more chat!

The card I made today is for this week's Annabelle Stamps Blog Challenge, John has the camera away with him and the scan didn't show the sentiment as the rosette was too high so the words were blurry -anyhow I used my phone to take the photo and emailed it to myself - so not the best but better than nothing:

Annabelle Stamps Blog Challenge:

Recipe:
SU cardstock
DSP and brad from Kaisercraft
Rosette: 2.5cm x 30cm piece of DSP, scored at 0.5cm intervals using SU Simply Scored Tool, then folded and glued and glued to circle of card to keep it together (need lots of hands for this- or I did) then added brad.
Square punch used to get banner angles.
