Lady in Red

A scorcher here in Adelaide with the temperature climbing to 43 degrees, hubby and I cooled off at the pictures this afternoon - going to see "The Quartet" which we both enjoyed. I had a crafty day yesterday visiting Shirley -  Anne and making a few cards while Shirley made a gorgeous vintage card and then last night I went to a Prismacolour Workshop at Paper Flourish - I think it will take quite a lot of practice before anything appears on my blog - but you never know I might fluke something!

Tonights post is a card I made for my friend Michelle who has a birthday on Saturday, I used a 3d Decoupage set from the Art Deco pack that Docrafts Paper Mania brought out last month - it is a beautiful set and the papers are to die for - unfortunately they sold out of the paper packs really quickly so I had to buy the 3d packs to get the paper.

Inner: I started writing and then thought I should scan and show you some of the Art Deco paper!

Keep on Truckin'

Happy New Year - this is my first post for 2013 and first post in ages - we have had a very busy Christmas and New Year, with lots of visitors and some very hot weather to contend with as well - it got to 44 degrees on one day, there are lots of bushfires raging in Australia at the moment, although we have been very fortunate here in South Australia. Our daughter Emma has moved back home from Mt Gambier and has a new teaching position here in Adelaide for this year - we just have to get used to having an extra once more!

My card this week is for Less is More Challenge - I made this card for my favourite ex trucker Shirley- Anne's hubby Doug who has turned 75!
