Christmas Fairy

Welcome, thanks for calling in, not much sleep last night and an early start this morning saw me almost nodding off at craft this afternoon! Hubby John arrives home tomorrow - although his ute arrived today! Something happened to the gearbox  - luckily they were only 6km from Innamincka and it has been trucked home - they were travelling in a group so he and his friend Keith managed to squash into the other cars and continue the trip. Very chatty group today, I spent time looking for a stamp to show Anne, and as always it turned up just after she left - I must have looked two or three times in the box and couldn't see for looking!

Today's card is for this weeks:

Love in Pink

Welcome to new follower Therese, my house feels so cold even though the thermometer says it's not! My arthritis has been playing up and I've been a bit sore this week so even though John's away I haven't done any card making, I had x-rays and blood tests yesterday so hopefully by the time of my next appointment they might be able to offer me something new! Craft today was a very chatty group  - not much craft at first as we went through Kim's Avon catalogue - but we settled down and started creating, colouring, sewing etc, and then yummy cookies courtesy of Sandy for afternoon tea and then a few of us played Words with Friends for a while. I managed to get this card done for this weeks:

Three of anything that is, three colours, three images, three stamps, three words, the number three.... it's up to you, but don't forget the white space, a simple design and just one layer!

I have matted the card on black for the scan - my three is three pink flowers

Candy Christmas

Thanks for stopping by, after seeing John off to the Simpson Desert for two weeks, I got stuck into some bookwork and then into a new book on the weekend, so card making took a bit of a back seat, I had dinner with mum and dad last night and stayed to watch Downton Abbey - my favourite show at the moment - it was running late so no time for cards either last night!

My  card for tonight is a Christmas card I'm entering into Annabelle Stamps Blog Challenge

Recipe:

White, green and red card from stash
3 x circle punches
Stamp from a Christmas Clear set  - I've lost the packaging

Snow Burst

Welcome, I've had a busy week with no time for blogging or craft until today, I've had Emma home and John is leaving for a trek across the Simpson Desert on Saturday so we have been shopping and cooking at night after work to get ready. This morning I had to go and find a flannelette sheet to make into a 'jelly bag' for inside his swag as the nights are mighty cold. Emma also left back for Mount Gambier this morning, there have been some big storms around the state today so I hope she has managed to miss most of it - it is a five hour drive which is a bit tiring on your own.

Just three of us for craft today, I managed to make a couple of Christmas cards and  I am entering this one in this weeks Annabelle Stamps Blog Challenge - Say it With Snowflakes

Recipe:

White card and Navy card base.
I punched out snowflakes in 2 sizes then stuck them to white card lightly, brayered the card with SU Bashful Blue then removed the snowflakes leaving the white image. I then used a snowflake from SU Snow Burst and stamped randomly in SU Not Quite Navy.
Pale Blue Rhinestones were added to the white Snowflakes and Silver rhinestones to the navy snowflakes - the scan makes the colours a bit hard to see.
Sentiment was a free image from Simply Cards - stamped in SU Not Quite Navy

Less Is More

Welcome, even though the sun is out it is deceptively cold here today! I went over to  a craft shop on Unley Rd to use my voucher from last month's shop, to find that they don't open until 11 on Thursdays, then they were late opening so I wasn't impressed, as I had somewhere else to be before heading home for craft. I went and helped a friend with her workcover reconciliation before coming home for craft. A small group but we chatted, crafted and looked through some craft mags. I made a card for this weeks Less is More Challenge.

Take your inspiration from the Less is More Header

We love to see how many different ways this could be interpreted.
You could simply do a CASE of it or use any of the elements as your theme... a decorated frame, the music, the flourishes, the flowers, the sentiment, the colours, the little jewels, there's really quite a lot of scope to let your imagination roam.
If your link is somewhat tenuous however, we would like you to explain just what your inspiration was.

Birthday Tulips

Welcome and thanks for dropping by, another cold wet day here, but the sun did peep out for a few moments. Emma arrived home from Mt Gambier yesterday - a bit later than she hoped as there was a letter in her mail from the estate agent Friday night saying they were coming to do a rent inspection on the house next week and she was leaving for Adelaide on Saturday morning so she had to do cleaning instead of just tidying up,  she was exhausted after the five hour drive and then had to jump in the shower and go straight out to a friends 21st - she didn't quite make it to midnight but had a good time anyway - she caught up on her sleep today!! John and I went off to a fund rasing lunch at Sturt Footy Club with a group of friends - he stayed to watch the match and I came home and made this card for his mum's birthday. John is off to Brisbane for work tomorrow and is going to drive up to the Sunshine Coast where they are holidaying for a quick visit.

I am entering this card in this weeks Annabelle Stamps Blog Challenge absc051
