I'm up the boat and thought I'd try some card making, it hasn't gone to well, very windy and I forgot some of my stuff! I can't get the links to work on the ipad or upload the photo so i'm going to try and email it to Emma and see if she can do it for me. Tonights post is my entry into this weeks
Come and Get It Challenge - Faux Tile
And Annabelle Stamps Challenge - Yellow, Lime and Turquoise.
Card from stock
Marvy Markers for colouring
Image from Crafty Individuals
Stamped image coloured, then cut into tiles, the edges of each tile were distressed, then the tiles were 3d onto yellow card.
The colours have not photographed well with the iPad so I might re scan when I get home, the lime green is in the argyle background dsp and the yellow is actually quite bright.

Fairy Note
Another warm day, but the air conditioner at work was cranked up so not to bad there, but we only have evaporative at home and after so many hot days it doesn't seem to work so well. Our daughter Emma arrives home tomorrow after a month away - so we are looking forward to seeing her (although not the ensuing mess that will accompany her - camping gear, washing etc!)
Welcome to two more followers Dawn and Lisa you can check out their blogs by clicking on their names, they are both on the DT for Digi Darla - check out that blog for digi's to buy as well as free digi's and inspiration.
Tonight's post is my entry into this months Unstampabelle's Challenge - Anything Goes. This is the second card I made at Shirley's on Saturday - using Shirley's stash - we had great fun going through the papers, talking too much (is that possible!) and making our challenge cards.

Big Boys Toy
Warm again today, did the housework early - then off to Shirley's for some crafting. We decided to make a couple of cards for challenges - so we worked together but made quite different cards - it was a bit of fun and different from our usual workshop where Shirley provides the kits. We are off to friends in the hills for dinner tonight so I'm posting this early!
This card is for this weeks entry into Cards For Men - Boys and Their Toys - this is a toy my big boy (hubby) would love to own!

Fairy Wishes
Another warm one today and even hotter for the weekend - we are now officially having a heat wave! Some idiot down south has been lighting bushfires - I hope they catch them soon. I had my hair done today - so I look half decent even if only for a day - how is it that I can never get my hair to look quite the same as the hairdresser? John went to the boat to do a few jobs, so I took myself off to the pictures and saw the American version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - it was quite good, but I think I still like the Swedish version better.
Welcome also to new follower Tan - check out her blog here.
Tonight's card is my entry for Digi Darla's Challenge - Happiness Is.... Fairy Wishes.
I've taken a photo tonight instead of scanned as the kinderglitz isn't dry - I'm afraid I'm not too good with the camera.

Another warm day in Adelaide but I managed to get the ironing done before it got too hot! Sandy and Joyce came for a craft session this afternoon - nice to catch up, do some craft and check out the new card mags that Sandy had bought! Then it was off for a massage - for once she didn't cancel - so although I'm sore now, I should have better movement tomorrow!

Keep the Faith
Well tonight is the first time in a long while I've had the house to myself and I've been savouring the peace! I bought chicken on the way home from work and had some left over salad so tea was easy, I have had a sit down and watched some TV before making tonight's card.

Loving Thoughts
I've been running around today - first met up with Shirley for a coffee - it was great to catch up - found a new magazine - an English import , it was a bit expensive at $17.95 - but it did come with 20 free stamps so I guess that's less than a $1 each + magazine, I showed Shirley and she went off to find it too!! Then a bit of shopping and to the Chiropracter, John's folks are coming to tea so an early post. Then we are off up the boat tomorrow. It was great catching up with Sandy and Joyce yesterday and hearing all the things they had been up to over xmas.

Lady in Black
Wow, I can't believe it's been that long since my last post, after Melbourne we have had house guests and been away so all my craft stuff was bundled away - not to be brought out until today - we still have Neil & Margaret staying with us until next week but we had our craft session today and John is away so "Craft Rules" - at least for the moment. It was very hot up the river - 43 degrees one day and even our little dog Trevor ended up with his life jacket on and in for a swim! Now it's back almost to normality, with work for me starting this week and next week for hubby. We are back up the boat this weekend with N&M so hopefully it won't be too hot. I will try to do some visiting to see what everyone has been up to in the next few days!
