Starring You

Second post today - catching up for last week! Tonight's post is for this week's LIM Challenge  - Stars.

I have used a Stamping Up set - "Starring You" - we used the sentiment from this set at Shirley Anne's workshop today and I stamped off the images for this card while I was there - thank you to Shirley for the use of her stamps - check out Shirley's blog here.

Sunday at Shirley's

Just a quick post today to show what Sandy and I made at Shirley's workshop this afternoon, it's been a pretty exhausting week and we have to call in and see my parents as my brother and his family are visiting so we can have a quick catch up. When I got home my daughter was making fake blood as all the staff at her work are dressing up for Halloween! They are not open tomorrow night - so they are getting in the spirit (pardon the pun) tonight.

My daughter Emma - would you let her make you a coffee? - Devour Dessert Bar Prospect Rd, Prospect SA.!

Here are the cards we made today - if you would like to check out Shirley's Blog follow the link

Holly Bird

A lovely day here in Adelaide, I was off to the shops nice and early as I had to find a cocktail dress to wear on the cruise we are going on soon - not something I normally wear, but apparently pants and nice tops are not acceptable formal wear! Success was had and even better the shop had buy three items get the cheapest free - so you can't beat that! Very chatty craft group today - a message from Joyce who is on holiday (we miss you!) - she will be back from her travels next week so it will be great to get her news - she keeps up with us by looking at Sandy's and my blogs! Scan is a little wonky but after the 4th attempt I lost patience! My arthritis is playing up and my massage lady cancelled - so I am off to take some thing for the pain and have a lie down!

Today's post is for this weeks Christmas Challenges {with sketches} Challenge. Part of the rules is that you do not post the challenge on your website only the link - so if you would like a Christmas Challenge please follow the above.

Best Wishes

Thanks for dropping by, I had a very busy weekend, no time for craft - so no card making was done - I am running very behind with challenges for this week! We were up on the river for the weekend - we cruised to Mannum and stayed overnight and had tea at the Mannum Club with a few other boaties, before leaving on Sunday morning and cruising to Pompoota for a gathering of the Wooden Boat Owners Association - a beautiful day and a large number attended both by boat and car. We have my sons birthday dinner on Friday night and friends coming for dinner Saturday night so I don't know how much card making I'll get done - but where there's a will there's a way!!

Tonight's card is for this weeks LIM Challenge - Polka dots.

POLKA DOTS

As long as your design is Clean and Simple, has some white space (or its equivalent) and polka dots in evidence somewhere, it will be perfect for this challenge.

And also for Make It Monday - Anything Goes.

With Love

After yesterdays sizzling 34, we have had a cooler day and some drizzle this afternoon. No post yesterday as I had to help Emma make things for her bake sale at Uni - not a good time to be cooking when it was so warm but we managed. Up early this morning as the guys came to install our solar panels - very noisy with  a radio on full pelt but they were finished by the time Ann arrived for craft. Sandy is still not well - so here's hoping she gets better soon! Today's card is for this weeks Annabelle Stamps Challenge - Embellished Corners, I'm just scraping in with this one as it finishes soon and also to Scrapbook Boutique's Challenge which is only open to Australian Residents.

Just For You

Another busy day, Emma had been at Uni all day and I had been working so we decided to go out for tea and had a lovely Asian meal in North Adelaide, followed by a little shopping.

Welcome to new follower, Nellie you can check out her blog  - here - it has a translate to English button at the top.

My card for tonight is for this weeks Come and Get it Challenge - A Sketch.

It's sketch week. So make a card or anything else, as long as we can see the sketch in the project that's good. Here is the sketch followed by our Design Team Members. Oh by the way, you can change the shape of the elements if you wish, so if your main image is a square that's okay too.

Sunday at Shirley's

Another lovely day - although a cool start, Sandy and I went off to our Sunday Workshop at Shirley's; making three lovely cards and having a nice cup of tea and cakes! Then we helped Shirley with her computer before heading home. I managed to dead head the roses and cut back my triffid of a hibiscus before heading off to my parents for dinner - it was great to catch up and see the photos from their trip overseas. John rang while I was there - he and a friend are on a boating trip and they had just made a loaf of bread in the camp oven when he rang!

If you would like the recipe for some of these cards and other inspirational ideas please check out Shirley's blog here.

Xmas Scoop

Early post today - thanks for stopping by. It has been a day of all seasons, wind, rain and sun - very blustery. This morning my friend Sandy & I went to a Craft & Gift Fair - needless  to say - we managed to spend some money. I found a funny Christmas sentiment stamp and I thought of this weeks Cards for Men Challenge - Make Us  Laugh - so that was enough to make me buy it. No one was home when I got back so, I got stuck in! I hope it makes you smile too!

With Love

Got home and popped over to LIM to check out this weeks Challenge - Heart / s - One Layer card, so I thought I see what I could come up with!

Being the second week of the month it is One Layer

An easy one for you it's

The  can be singular, multiple, any colour, but, MUST be a one layer card, with no aditional layers stuck on, apart from the odd embellishment or ribbon!

First I stamped the sentiment in SU Real Red, then I used my Cuttlebug - E/F Kimmy Luvvs.
Next I coloured in 3 little hearts in SU Real Red and as the folder doesn't reach to the bottom of the card I added 3 rhinestone hearts to finish off. I have scanned using a black mat behind to show off the white card better.

Twisted Christmas

Welcome, I've had a busy day today - off to the chiropracter (My massage got cancelled once again!) - then home to do the ironing and pack away the cleaned bedding after our camping trip. I then decided to do something for me and rang Indulge Salon as they had sent an sms about half price facials for October - and blow me down she'd had a cancellation and could fit me in so I've now been pampered as well!!

Tonight's card has been inspired by Dr Sonia - she published a Twisted Easel Card Tutorial earlier this week and I'd never made one so I thought I'd give it a try. Dr Sonia did hers A4 size but I used half A4 and adjusted the measurements accordingly. I'm really pleased with the result and hope you all like it.  I tried photographing it as you would not have been able to see it in a scan. I have put up 2 photos - slightly different views.

An early post tonight as I'm off to my mum and dad's now to catch up with them as they have just got back from overseas.

Card, trim and embellishments are all from stock.

Haunting Halloween

Avery tiring day at work today - 9.5 hrs in front of the computer so I'm stiff and sore, my massage lady cancelled but hopefully she will fit me in tomorrow! My clothes dryer blew up last night - luckily we had an overload switch that cut it out, but the house smelt of burning for ages - so another expense!

Tonight's card is for this weeks Come and Get It Challenge - Happy Halloween.

Christmas Blues

I'm back from a weeks camping, refreshed and ready to craft! Only downside is I have to go in to work tomorrow - but I do get Monday off instead! We had a lovely time in the Flinder's Ranges we camped on Moolooloo Station - the area we stayed which we had only for our group had a little stone cottage - Blinman Hut which had a bathroom with flushing toilet, wood heated shower, sink and wood oven and a table and chairs there was also another outside loo - so 5* camping all in all, I read 4 books and had a lovely relaxing time, there were four families and various children teen to adult.

Today Sandy and I crafted at her place as she had the grandchildren and the others were off as it is school holidays, I managed to make 2 new cards for challenges as well as make up my 3 cards from Shirley's Tuesday workshop.

This is my entry in this week's  Week 35LIM Challenge - Colour.

Week 35

Here we are again and it's time for another COLOUR challenge.
This week we have chosen
THE COLOUR OF YOUR EYES
You don't necessarily have to have an exact match, but if your eyes are blue,
then any shade of blue will be fine, likewise with brown, grey, green etc..
(We aren't as mean as all that!)
However, the colour you choose should be the predominant colour
on your card...
we don't want to see just a hint of it.
"My Eyes are Blue"

I have backed scan with a black mat so it stands out better
