In The Pink

Thanks for stopping by and welcome to new follower Maureen - check out her blog here . A blustery day here in Adelaide, I was up early to shop and then off for a massage - only it got cancelled just before I was due to go - so I remain stiff and sore! So I went back and did my big shop for our camping holiday, then came home made some minestrone soup and realised I hadn't bought carrots - so back to the shop! I've since made a carrot cake, potato bake and various dressings to take away and also enjoyed an afternoon of craft and chat - I'm tiring myself out writing about it!! Anyhow I won't be blogging for the next week as I am off camping with friends and family - so I hope you like my last post for a while. This card opens in the middle - I have put pink DSP inside with a white diecut for the message,  as I scan not photograph you can't see the inside but I think you can see the opening down the middle from the scan. I am not entering this card in any challenges as I don't have the time this week to comment on everyone else's cards,  so for my little band of followers this is just for you!!!!

Sunday at Shirley's

Busy, busy , busy and now hopefully time for a sit down! I've been to a High Tea for a friend's birthday - although our sitting was 12.30 - 2.30 so it was more like late lunch and then off to the other side of town to Shirley's for a card workshop - just Shirley and I today - still lots of chat and Doug was very chatty too which was nice,  they've had a busy week with Michelle and family visiting from Queensland - it was nice to meet them too - a revolving door this afternoon at Shirley's! Then I came home and did the ironing as John is off again tomorrow to the Paskeville Field Days.

These are the three cards we made this afternoon and if you would like to visit her site to check out some of her work please click here.

Keep the Faith

Lovely day in Adelaide, I was up early as I had to pick up John from the airport - he had a few hours sleep while I caught up on some book work, then we drove up to Mannum to get a few things off the boat to take on our camping trip up the Flinders Ranges next weekend, we ending up have a cup of tea with friends and coming back late so we stopped off in town and had a pub tea - which meant I was able to sit and make a card instead of cooking (smart choice me thinks!) Tomorrow, I am off to High Tea to celebrate a friends birthday and then to Shirley's for a card workshop - I've missed the last couple of weeks due to illness and being away - so I'm hanging out!
Tonight's card is for this week's LIM Challenge - A Sketch.

With Sympathy

Welcome on this summery day - quite warm, but blowing a hoolie! Trevor went off the Vet to get his teeth out this morning, so I took the opportunity to wash all his dog beds - I think they were dry in about an hour. Anyhow he's back home and after a small feed he's sleeping soundly. - he has to stay inside for the next 24 hours so he'll be mighty pleased with that! Chatty craft group today - it's Joyce's last day for 6 weeks as she and Doug are off on holiday - lucky things.

Tonight's card is for this week's LIM Challenge - Anything Goes.

Week 33 - 1000 Challenge - Anything CAS Goes

Now we are going for the 1000 submissions.
so
Anything CAS Goes

If you make more than one card for us, you will need to post them on your blog and submit them separately, for each card to count towards our target!
You are doing SO well, thank you all!

Tonight's card is a one layer card, image and sentiment from SU Close as a Memory - I coloured straight onto the stamps with Marvy Markers.

For You

After a lovely weekend rallying around the Fleurieu Peninsula, it was back to work and I couldn't get enthused to start a new card, but after a chat with Shirley tonight I got my act together and made this entry for this weeks Come and Get It Challenge and also for Make It Monday.

If you are just finding our challenges every Sunday morning we post a new challenge for the week. Flip the sketch, rotate it… create a card, a scrapbook page, or anything your imagination comes up with! There is no right or wrong way, as long as you are using the Come and Get It Sketch for your  inspiration and basis of your creation!

Thinking of You

Thanks for stopping by, today I have had to take our dog Trevor to the vet for his annual jabs and check up - he needs teeth out - so we are not looking forward to that bill! Then I had to alter a dress for Emma as she's gone to an OP Shop party tonight. She put her hair in rags last night so she is very curly and bouncy - she found an 80's dress ( I think an old bridesmaids dress) and shoes to match, checked out 80's makeup on youtube and tarted herself up!

Today's post is for this weeks Come and Get it Challenge.

Beautiful day here in Adelaide, with temperatures up to 30 deg Centigrade on the weekend - and not even summer yet!  Welcome also to new follower Monica - check out her blog here - Monica is nearly up to a 100 followers - well done!

Great chatty crafting group today - in fact so much chatting it took ages before we started making cards! Today I have made a card for this weeks LIM Challenge., I made it slightly  differently earlier in the week for an Annabelle Stamps Challenge and thought it would also look good as  a one layer card. As I have used glossy white card I have scanned it with a black mat to help define the card.

John is off on the river moving our boat from Goolwa to Mannum - thank you to Lieca who drove John and Jeff to Goolwa yesterday in my car so that they don't have to drive back and pick up a car tomorrow and also for the bottle of gatorade she dropped in to help with rehydration!

Back to School

Thanks for stopping by and welcome to new follower Cheryl -  you can check out her blog here - she has made an absolutely beautiful  metallic flower card for this weeks LIM challenge. This morning I dropped Emma at Uni, shopped and then did a couple of hours ironing -drudgery I know - but it doesn't do it itself! Then spent this afternoon crafting - just a small group today but plenty of chatter, I feel I achieved a lot, I made up my cards from Shirley's Tuesday workshop - I work so I can't get there, but I buy the packs and make them Thursdays, then I made a card for this weeks Come and Get It Challenge - Back to School, and started on one for this months Unstampabelles Challenge.

Deep in Thought

Welcome visitors, please leave a comment - I love to read them and I will visit you if you leave a link. It's the end of my working week and I'm looking forward to craft tomorrow - although I need to do a bit of tidying up before everyone comes! Between Emma's art pieces and my card work you can't see the table!!
Tonight's card is for this month's Sir Stampalot Challenge.

"It's a Frame Up"

Your entry can be anything you choose providing you frame something on your project. It can be a frame made from nesties for example as some of the DT have done, or a ready made frame, but to be absolutely clear, matted nestie shapes with an image stamped on top will not be considered to be a frame. We want to be able to say 'What a great frame!'

Blooming Birthday

Back to winter today, drizzly and gray, but as I had to work I didn't see too much of it. Very quiet here as daughter Emma is off at work and John is interstate on business - though by the magic of ipad we played scrabble last night - I'm still getting used to the ipad - but am enjoying taking it away with me - although I can't put new cards up on it ( I think), I can visit blogs and make comments - so I don't miss too much.
Tonight's card is for this weeks LIM Challenge - Colour.

It's the first Saturday of the month and so we have a colour themed challenge once more and this time it is

METALLIC

We'd like to see CLEAN & SIMPLE cards with something that has a METALLIC finish to it... ink, embossing, card, charms, actual metal... come on people let's get creative!

Cherry on the Top

A beautiful spring day here today, and its going to be 27 tomorrow - summer weather!! Four of us at craft today, we stamped, made some cards and browsed through a couple of card magazines and also looked through Sandy's new SU Catalogue.

My card is for this week's Lollipop Ladies Challenge- this is this design team's last challenge.
It would be great if you could visit their site and join in as a thank you for some great epicurean challenges. The food photos they have come up with are truly mouth watering - as well as their  creations to inspire us all.

Challenge #28 - Sundae Cupcakes

Hello and welcome to our current Design Team's final post and creations.

Its bittersweet to be at the end of something we've all worked so hard at, BUT ultimately more sweet than bitter, especially with all the indulgence we have to share today:

This times challenge inspiration are these amazing
Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes:

and the extra challenge is to use some
Paper Piecing

My card this week uses a cup cake stamp from Molly Blooms,

DSP and rhinestones from stock
SU Ink in Rose Red
I paper pieced the cupcake paper case and the cherry, also the spots on the case, the sprinkles on the cake and the flags. I then added some kinderglitz for sparkle.
The edges of WW card were distressed and sponged in SU Rose Red.
