Elegant Lady

Thanks for stopping by, the day day started of uncomfortably with a mammogram, but got better once our craft group got together - in fact we talked and crafted much longer than usual which was lovely - the afternoon just flew! I made up my cards from Shirley and then put together this card with a new Kazzazz stamp I hadn't used before, I've made her for a friends birthday but liked her so much I made another one! - I hope you like her too.

Stamp: Kazzazz Elegant Lady, stamped in SU Choclate Chip, sponged around edge in SU Certainly Celery

Wishing You Sunshine

Welcome to my blog, we have had a very wet, windy day - what better way to spend it than crafting at Shirley's! Doug watched a western, whilst Sandy, Shirley and I made cards and chatted, before tea and ginger kisses (Shirley spoils us!) then Doug joined us for a chat too - the afternoon just flew and before we knew it was time for home and getting the dinner on - a roast - I reckon they taste better the colder the weather gets! I got home to find my daughter has an imprint of a soccer ball on her stomach - I think she needs to find a safer game - she's sore now, but I bet she'll hardly be able to move tomorrow!!

Thank you to those who have visited and left comments, also a Happy Birthday to Fran today.

3 Cards to show today - if you would like the recipe, or just to check out all the other things on Shirley's blog please click here.

Xmas

Thank you for stopping by, I thought I'd better catch up on Shirley's Christmas Challenge with another couple of cards made tonight. We had a very early start this morning off to a Wooden Boat Club day out at Goolwa - and for once the wind stayed away and we had a very pleasant day with lunch at The Landing on Hindmarsh Island, afterwards we called in for a cup of tea with John's parents at Port Elliot before heading home.

The first card I made using a new stamp I bought from Paper Squared on my recent holiday to Victoria.

Card & gold trim from stock.

Next card I used baubles from SU Delightful Decorations (thanks Sandy!) stamped in Rose Red and Daffodil Delight, gold trim & DSP from stock.

Here are the cards we made - if you would like to know how they are made please checkout Shirley-Anne's blog.

Christmas Challenge

Well I'm back from Melbourne and for the first time that I have been there I had no rain at all!! I managed to shop, shop some more and shop some more! I had a lovely lunch at the Hopetown Tearooms in the Block Arcade - I can recommend this place to anyone visiting Melbourne it is a real treasure. Popped into the Homeshow a couple of times to visit my husband John who was working there and on Friday had a fabulous day out with Margaret and Sarah who took me to visit a great Craft Store Paper Squared needless to say a few dollars were spent there!  The day culminated back at Sarah's for a 'wedding breakfast' to watch the Royal Wedding with smoked salmon sandwiches, prawns, dips , pies, quiches and mini cakes and a few glasses of champagne. Although I took some card making gear with me, I only managed to make 2 cards, a christmas one for Shirley-Anne's challenge and a birthday one.

Card 1: Christmas

Card from Stock, Mariannes Die Cut Poinsettia and Sentiment from Stamp It stamped in SU Real Red, Gold Trim from Stock, cuttle bug background.

French Treat

This is the other card I managed to make, a simple black and white birthday card.

Card is from stock and the image and sentiment are from Stampin Up.
