Sunday at Shirleys 20-03-2011

Today I went to my friend and Card Mentor Shirley's for a Card Making Lesson along with another friend Sandy. The cards are all Shirley's designs and she has them in little kits waiting our arrival. We always have great fun, a little gossip and a nice hot cup of tea to finish. Please visit Shirley-Annes Blog if you would like to know how these card's are made. I have had to scan Just Saying Hello a little larger on the left to avoid cutting off the ribbon , I have played with my background colours - so hopefully you can now see where the white cards finish!

Sympathy Posy

What a busy weekend, yesterday I found a little time to use a new to me stamp set that arrived in the post. After Cleaning it up I have made the card in 2 different colourways. Bit difficult to see the card edges as card is white!

Stamp and Sentiment are from SU Close as a Memory
Textured card is from DCWV
Coloured Markers are Le Plume Sapphire and Magenta, Tombo Olive

Xmas Chef

Thank you for dropping by, I made this card today after spending last night cleaning out the fridge! A little card therapy was needed! This xmas chef was inspired by an image I saw whilst blog hopping I am sorry I can't remember whose blog, but if I find it again I will post a link. The chef is from SU Voila, present from SU Happy Moments and the sentiment from Tapestry, card is from stock. I stamped the chef on both white and red card stock then cut out the red clothing, used black marker for belt and boots and a little gold card for buckle, the present is 3D. The scanning is a little skewed but image seems sharper than using  the camera. This is my first card to enter into Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge - here.

Congratulations Chef

Hi, this is a card commissioned (makes one feel good!) by my daughter for her friend - a chef who is opening up his first restaurant an up market dessert bar. The Stamp is from SU Voila and the sentiments are from Whimsical Words and Well Scripted, I double stamped and 3D'd the cake and candle although you can't really tell that from the picture. I also saw this stamp used as a Christmas Santa whilst I was blog hopping the other day - so I might have to give that a go too.
I've tried scanning this time as the camera didn't seem sharp enough.
