Sundays at Shirleys

Welcome, I've had a busy few days buying more stuff Emma needs for Mt Gambier, as John left today for Melbourne - he has the Home Show there this week,  he thought he'd go via Emma's and drop some stuff off for her. I am flying down after work on Tuesday so we will have a few days of Mother / Daughter time!

Today I finally got to do some crafting -"hang the flags out"
I went to Shirley's for  a card workshop - I made three lovely cards which I have shared below. The first is an easel card which can be seen better on Shirley's blog as I have scanned mine.

Please check out Shirley's blog here, for this and other great inspirations.

Sandy seems to have a great birthday week and is soon off to Tassie with her mum, I hope they have a great time - and find some craft stores to check out!!

Happy Birthday Sandy

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, we have been away, no crafting has been done and for the most part I've had no Internet. Our daughter Emma was offered a job in the country, with three weeks notice and Easter in the middle! We went down to Mt Gambier for four days to look for a house to rent - most agents didn't return our calls and none that we talked to and said we were coming down mentioned that they don't work weekends! So we came home without a house - on Thursday afternoon an agent rang and said a house she had for sale had just come off the market and was now for rent - there were lots of photos so Emma took a punt and signed up for it. We left for the Flinders Ranges the next morning for a few days - leaving Emma to pack her stuff, we arrived home Tuesday night, spent Wednesday buying furniture, fridge, washer etc, hired a truck and left Thursday morning for Mt Gambier, we got her moved in, unpacked and left Sunday to return the truck - on the way home we had a tyre blow out so that added another two hours to the trip home - we were both exhausted after that - luckily my mum had tea waiting for us!

Still no craft, but as today is Sandy's birthday we went out for lunch and visited a couple of craft shops - a real hardship! Sandy has been very busy card making so check out her blog here and wish her a happy birthday while your there.

Instead of a card, I'm sharing a photo of the cake we had while we were out to celebrate Sandy's birthday. I'm also looking forward to catching up with Shirley for some card making this weekend - it seems ages since I've seen her.

Chocolate Mocha Cake from Endue - yummy ( sorry about the reflection but it was behind glass).
