Thinking of You

Thanks for dropping by,  only Sandy and I crafting today as the others all had things on, but we were still quite productive. We have people coming to stay tomorrow and we are going to the Barossa for the weekend - men to fish - wives to shop! So I'm posting early so that I can clean and iron before they get here.

Today's card is my entry for this week's Come and Get it Challenge.

Time for a Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone, Cindy here your host for this week. This is the sketch that I came up with, thought it would be kind of nice to have the sentiments on our cards being the central element on the card. That's why I put it in the center of the circle. Please feel free to change the elements, or the shapes, but please keep to the sketch as it must be noticeable, if not you will not be considered for top pick

In the Garden

Welcome and thanks for visiting. Busy at work today and then got home to hear some sad news. Our friend Don passed away today, he had been out to play golf and came home for a rest and didn't wake up. I guess if I had to go, suddenly like that would be the best way - but it's still a shock. Don will be sadly missed - we met through doing Foster Care 27 years ago and have met monthly with the same group of people for supper for all those years!

My card for tonight is an entry to two challenges:

Annabelle Stamps challenge : Say it in Yellow and White

Digi Darla's Challenge -  April Showers

"April Showers"!! What pops into your head when you think of "April Showers"? Rain, flowers .. kid's in puddles

Sunday at Shirley's

Welcome, a glorious day here in Adelaide, perfect for getting the washing dry, going to the Beach - daughter Emma and visiting Shirley for a crafting session! Doug had already been for a ride before  it got too hot, so was ready for a snooze and Shirley worked on a new card whilst I made up the workshop cards and we nattered away - the time flies. Some lovely slice with a cup of tea before I headed home to do a little more tidying up. I hope wherever you are that your weekend has been great too.

Here are the three cards I made today - if you would like to check out Shirley's blog for card recipes or inspiration please do so here.

Secret Owl

Another beautiful day, my son Matt came over very early to pick his dad up - they are off on a guys weekend in the bush. Emma and I spent the morning in town I bought some tops and shoes and she got a couple of dresses in Myers Sale - 40% off so not bad, we also picked up the tickets for her graduation in a couple of weeks. Emma is off to see a friend get married this afternoon so I thought I would do an early post before getting into some housework!

Today's post is for this weeks {Lollipop Ladies Challenge} - Maltesers

Sunny Pears

Busy day of crafting today - making two cards for challenges. This is my entry for this weeks:

This week we'd like you to include
Script
This includes any text, not just handwritten styles, but must be in addition to any sentiment you might decide to add.
If you have no suitable stamps, you could always resort to your own handwriting (Shock Horror!).

Firstly I made template out of scrap paper, then used the brayer to lay a colour base.
I used the stamp set from SU Faith in Nature for both the image and sentiment - both stamped in SU Chocolate Chip
Corner flourish stamp in SU Choclate Chip - borrowed from Sandy.

Chocolate Trees

Welcome and thanks for dropping by -  a busy time since last week. we had a great night out for the Adelaide Fringe and then went up the river with friends for the long weekend. We had our usual craft get together today - Sandy had a few photos of her son's wedding to share - looks like a beautiful couple and perfect weather for the wedding. We also said farewell to Joyce who is off on a road trip with her hubby for a month - maybe there will be lots of craft stores to look at  on the way!!

Make a Wish

Busy day, started with  doing the washing and then off for a massage before craft. Then my son Matthew turned up to borrow his dad's car - so I snaffled him to help clean the top of the kitchen cupboards - a big help when he is 6' 5"! He wasn't too thrilled but the job got done! It was a smaller group at craft today - but just as much stuff on the table! We chatted and were quite industrious, I finished off a card for a friends birthday and then made a card for this month's:

Stamp from Flonz in SU Chocolate Chip - colored with Marina Mist, Basic Grey and Chocolate Chip
